I also finished this wonderful old truck from the Toronto Distillery District last week. I love the way it sits on the paving stones and seems to blend in to the old bricks behind it. I haven't titled it yet, but will consider all your suggestions - send them on!! I have another painting or two based on the Distillery District planned, so stay tuned for developments. |
Thursday was certainly exciting! Thanks to all at the Northwest Watercolor Society and juror Liana Bennett. And a huge congratulations to all 70 finalists who are featured in the exhibition, running online at the NWWS website through the end of June. There were 422 total entries, so getting picked is quite an honour. Also on the NWWS website is the full exhibition catalog available for download and a recording of the reception and awards announcements. Liana explains why she chose all 70 finalist pieces - a very interesting insight into the judging process and a great reminder that a whole world of styles and approaches can all result in great art. Have a great weekend and stay safe, everyone! Soon we'll be able to get together again, but we have to be patient.
