A huge Thank You to all who came to see my solo show at Arta Gallery in May!! There was a great turnout, not only at the official opening, but throughout the entire exhibition. I had the chance to meet and speak with many art enthusiasts at the gallery. I really appreciated your interest in my work and your thoughtful questions. And, a huge thank you to the Arta staff who made it all possible, of course. Happily, "Trailside" has found a new home in Toronto. Its new owners assure me that it will be well cared for and loved for years to come. June will be a busy month, too. "Hayfields" is a finalist in the annual Brush-Off competition, held at Alvento Winery in Niagara this year. This great event, organized by Marina Cutler of Avenue Art Gallery Montreal and the Cutler-Crane Gallery in Memphis, is not only an international art competition, but is also a fund-raiser for art programs for those living with Alzheimers. You can support the cause by purchasing a painting from the exhibition, purchasing an art box for art programs, donating, or coming to the reception on Saturday June 7. Go to the Brush-Off website for details. |
And, I won't have to sweat to death this summer - I'm getting air conditioning in the studio!! Hooray!! And no more excuses not to paint.
Have a great June and I hope to see some of you at the exhibitions.
Carol
