I delivered a carload of recent paintings to Arta Gallery in Toronto's Distillery District yesterday and had a long talk with Fay Athari, the gallery's owner. It's always an inspiration to visit the gallery and discuss my art with Fay, who has been showing my work and representing me in Toronto for six years now. She was the first gallerist to represent me in a major art market and always manages to boost my confidence and inspire me to keep striving for excellence. It was also great to meet the new staff at the gallery, who surprised me by hanging two of the new paintings before I could leave! Stop by the gallery if you're in Toronto - the lineup of artists is amazing, even if I say so myself! |
