I just have to share -

I received the April edition of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine and found "Cobblestones" featured in the City Livin' article!!! I am truly honoured to have my work included among so many incredible pieces by fabulous fellow artists. Thank you to the editors!!

The original painting is AVAILABLE at Studio 87 in Perth, Ontario. It's a beautiful gallery space overlooking the Rideau Canal in this historic eastern Ontario town - and well worth the visit.

Rooftops VI, acrylic on canvas, 24x24". SOLD
I just had to share this comment from a collector who recently bought Rooftop VI through Studio 87 in Perth. What a great way to help me feel warm in the middle of winter!

Hello Carol, I recently bought the original of your painting Rooftop VI from Studio87. I love this painting very much! I love the composition, colours, and especially the use of light and shadow. You can tell where the sunlight is coming from, and the contrast between parts of the Rooftops in direct sunlight, and parts in shadow is magnificent. There's great attention to detail, but the overall canvas viewed from further back is where the painting comes alive for me. I grew up in a very arts centered home, and my parents had a great eye for great art. We had an original Jack Chambers that they bought before he was well known, just because they loved it. I too just go for whatever I love. I'm thrilled to have your Rooftop VI on my wall at home.

"Meditation", acrylic on canvas, 30x36". In Cincinnati for the Art Comes Alive exhibition.
Hello all
I apologize for the long delay since my last post, but it's been a busy few months, with family and in studio. The solo show at Kingston's Works Art Gallery was a great success, with a wonderful turnout. Thank you to the gallery staff, Kingston Frameworks for hosting, and to all those who came to the opening and throughout the show.

Two big shows are on the fall schedule - the American Artists Professional League's 96th Grand National Exhibition in New York, and the Art Comes Alive exhibition in Cincinnati. "Rusted Giraffe" is a Finalist in the New York show in the on-line portion of the exhibition. The live show is open now at the Salmagundi Club in Manhattan. It's an amazing collection of realist art by many of the finest artists in the US and Canada. You can visit the show on line at aaplinc.org/96-gne/#finalists

"Meditation", a piece from my series inspired by the total solar eclipse last spring, is in Cincinnati at the ADC gallery for the annual international Art Comes Alive exhibition. The show opens in early November and runs through the end of December. If you're in the southern Ohio region, go take a look. Over 200 pieces in a wide variety of genres, from amazing artists around the world, are on display in this distinctive gallery.

I'm excited to announce that I will have a solo show at the Works Art Gallery in Kingston, ON, opening June 8 and running through June 29. I'll be showing my newest work along with some recent favourites.

This is the inaugural exhibition at the Works Gallery, a new art space hosted by Kingston Frameworks in Kingston's east end. I'm especially honoured that I was chosen to put on the first show in this lovely space. Colin Morris, the owner of Kingston Frameworks, is a tireless supporter of all the arts in the Kingston area. Come on out and support him as well as me!

The opening reception will be on Saturday June 8 starting at 5pm. I'd love to see you there!

More information is on Instagram @worksartgallery and at the Works Art Gallery website.
