To take a bit of a break from the architectural pieces I've been doing lately, I went back through some photos of trips past. This scene jumped out and said "Paint me!" It's my view down to the main deck of the Marine Atlantic ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland, just as we were leaving the dock in North Sydney. I love the way this couple is standing, floating on the blue deck as the ship is floating on the blue sea, comfortable with each other yet separate, each with individual thoughts - perhaps going home, perhaps leaving - isolated in their bubble of space as we all are now. |
