| I just got back home after a whirlwind weekend in Cincinnati, attending the opening of the Art Comes Alive 2022 exhibition. Sponsored by Art Design Consultants in Cincinnati, this show attracted over 3,000 submissions from around the world, of which 240 works made it into the show. The quality of work, from abstract to realist to glass art to sculpture, is absolutely amazing! I am honoured to be selected. My entry was "Penthouse Reno", a view of the abandoned Canada Malt plant in Montreal. And I won Architectural Artist of the Year! The theme for the event was Masque, so of course I made masks for myself and Dan - I must have done something right because I think we were the most photographed attendees! The exhibition runs through the end of December - do go have a look if you'll be in Cincinnati. You won't be disappointed. In two weeks I'll be heading to New York for the American Artists Professional League Grand National Exhibition. One painting from my bike series is in that show, which concentrates on realist art. I'll let you know how it goes! In the meantime, "At the Beach", another in my bike series, is on show at the Window Gallery in Kingston as part of the Organization of Kingston Women Artists (OKWA) Moving Forward exhibition. Never a dull moment around here! Carol |
