| Wow, it's been a long time since my last post, and I apologize for that. I do have an excuse, though - I moved from Montreal to Kingston, Ontario in July and have been busy unpacking and setting up my new studio. It's a much larger space with much better light than I had before and I'm really happy that I can spread out a bit. I can actually leave a canvas on the easel and back off enough to get a good view of the overall painting! In the last couple of weeks I've managed to finish "At the Beach", which I started in Montreal before the move, and am now working on another in my Prague rooftops series. Over the six weeks or so that I couldn't paint, my list of ideas for future works has been building and I'm super motivated to get them done. Stay tuned! "Trailside", the last painting I completed before the move, is now in Vancouver where it will be part of the Federation of Canadian Artists Annual International Representational Exhibition, hosted by the Federation Gallery. The show runs from September 27 through October 17. Do stop by if you're in the Vancouver area. Have a wonderful and safe last few weeks of summer, and a beautiful fall. |
