| I took advantage of a visit with relatives in the Toronto area to deliver a couple of new paintings to Arta Gallery, in the distillery district of the city. It's always a pleasure to speak with Liza and the rest of the gallery staff, and to see what's on show. It was great to see some marvelous work by other artist friends and to see some of my paintings sharing the space. We had to cut the visit short, however, due to warnings of an ice storm along the north shore of Lake Ontario. We dashed home to Kingston, only to have the air warm up enough to yield rain. I'm not complaining - I'd much rather have liquid rain than ice any day! Have a great 2023, and stay tuned to see what comes out of the studio this year. Carol |

What a great way to end the year! "Old Case Tractor" is on its way to brighten up the home of a happy collector. Thanks to Studio 87 Gallery in Perth for making the connections and arranging the sale!
Have a wonderful new year, everyone! Carol My, it’s been a productive year! At this time, I always take a look back over what I’ve done throughout the year so I can take stock of the direction my painting has taken and examine my evolution as an artist. I thought I’d take this opportunity to share my retrospective with you. Please do let me know what you think. Your feedback is invaluable as I evaluate my work and begin preparations for the coming year.

I just found out that "Sunlight and Shadow" was juried into the American Artists Professional League annual Grand National Exhibition! This prestigious exhibition of contemporary realist art will be at the Salmagundi Club in New York City in November. I'm over the moon! This is the second time my work has been accepted into the Grand National. Last time around, the pandemic forced the exhibition to be online only. This year it will be live. Join me in NYC and enjoy the show!
